Assemblers often use hand tools and machinery to accurately position and fasten parts together, ensuring the final product meets required specifications. \nMinimum Qualifications \nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent\nAdvanced training in J-STD-001/IPC-620 standards\nExperience:\n5 + years previous assembly experience required.\nKnowledge:\nWorking knowledge of basic assembly procedures. Previous knowledge of cable and wire harness assembly required.\nSkills:\nManual dexterity\nAttention to detail\nBasic mechanical skills\nReading and Interpreting Written Instructions\nOral and Written Communication Skills\nJob Responsibilities \nAssemble assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelines\nRead and understand drawings, travelers, bills of material. \nUse measuring tools, crimp tools, wire cutting equipment and stripping machines. \nHand crimping.\nSpot tie and continuous lacing.\nHeat shrink sleeving and boots. \nSolder pins, contacts and solder cups, solder sleeves, bus wire splice\nPerform job functions with minimum supervision.\nPerform spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards. \nNotify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions. \nAdhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. \nWear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. \nMaintain an organized and clean work area. \nPerform other related duties as assigned. \nProvide on-the-job training and coaching to new assemblers.\nAttend required trainings for program specific requirements. \nInternal and External Relationships\nThis position interacts with production, quality, and engineering departments on a regular basis \nPhysical Requirements \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
