This hands-on position involves interpreting engineering drawings, preparing and assembling cable components, performing electrical and fibre optic terminations, as well as moulding and testing cable assemblies to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications. You will be responsible for ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety standards, maintaining equipment, and accurately taking test results. A strong attention to detail, commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within a technical team are essential to success in this position.\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation:\nIPC Qualification desired but not essential.\nExperience:\n3 years of experience as an electrical technician or similar role.\nWorking experience of soldering and cable assembly preferred.\nFibre optic experience is desired but not essential.\nKnowledge:\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings preferred.\nSkills:\nMust have good attention to detail.\nStrong problem solving and fault-finding abilities.\nEffective communication and ability to work in a team.\nAbility to consistently meet tight deadlines.\nJob Responsibilities\nAssemble parts supplied in kit form as per engineering drawings.\nPrepare supplied parts for termination and encapsulation.\nCarry out electrical terminations and splices through soldering and mechanical processes.\nCarry out fibre optic terminations in line with the defined processes.\nMixing and casting of a variety of polyurethane, polyethylene, and epoxy resins.\nInterpret technical engineering drawings to manufacture in line with work instructions.\nManufacture of connectors and connector inserts from raw components.\nHandle and store chemicals for cleaning, priming, and moulding strictly adhering to health and safety procedures.\nAttend on-site, both UK and abroad, to assist customers with installation, testing and monitoring of applications if required.\nTest products and accurately record and document results.\nMaintain all machinery and equipment to proper standards on a regular basis.\nMaintain good housekeeping practices to ensure the working environment is always customer friendly.\nAssist with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the Group.\nMaintain the Group management behaviours practices and equal opportunity policy.\nOther
