This is a hands-on role combining deep engineering expertise with ownership of technical direction, architecture, and delivery - working within a .NET-based full-stack environment that blends new feature development with improving and modernising complex, established systems. TRG Screen is an AI-driven engineering organisation, and this role is expected to champion that culture - setting the standard for how the team builds with AI and leading by example.\nResponsibilities\nTechnical Leadership\nLead technical vision and architecture across the team - own decisions on technology stack, design patterns, and system design.\nEstablish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development processes.\nChampion and role-model AI-assisted development across the team - driving adoption of AI tooling, spec-driven workflows, and responsible use of code-generation practices.\nDevelopment & Delivery\nDesign, develop, and own complex full-stack initiatives, setting the standard for code quality and craftsmanship.\nConduct rigorous code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to clean code principles and design patterns.\nChampion automated testing practices and ensure system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and optimisation.\nTroubleshoot and resolve the most challenging technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.\nTeam Leadership & Collaboration\nMentor and provide technical oversight for engineers, supporting their growth through guidance, code reviews, and unblocking.\nBuild team capability through pairing, training, and documentation standards.\nPartner with Product Management to translate requirements into realistic technical solutions and timelines.\nCommunicate technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders; contribute to sprint planning and continuous improvement.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\n8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.\n3+ years in a technical leadership or senior engineer role, with a track record of mentoring engineers and owning technical direction.\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or similar) for building data-driven UIs.\nDeep understanding of software design principles with proven ability to make and document architectural decisions in large, complex codebases.\nStrong database skills with relational databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL preferred).\nProven track record of implementing comprehensive testing strategies and owning system reliability, performance, and security.\nExcellent communication skills and strategic thinking - able to influence technical decisions, work effectively with Product, and balance technical debt against delivery.\nPreferred\nExperience with desktop agent or endpoint monitoring software.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) as part of day-to-day engineering practice - this is how we build at TRG Screen.\nFamiliarity with spec-driven development - using structured specifications to guide AI coding agents, preserve architectural intent, and validate generated output (e.g. BMAD, GitHub Spec-Kit).\nJoin TRG Screen and unlock your potential in an environment where innovation thrives, opportunities abound, and your contributions make a difference.
