We seamlessly integrate with client systems, emulating various data request protocols and response formats while providing unprecedented control over reference data spend.\n\nThe Role:\n\nWe are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in a client-facing role. You will be the technical voice of our Data Caching platform, Submarine, for our prospects and clients, supporting Sales through pre-sales conversations and owning the journey through to a live, supported deployment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nClient Discovery:\n\n- Capture and document each client's current environment, including infrastructure, network, security controls, and market data integrations and protocols.\n\n- Assess fit between the client environment and our standard deployment approach, identify gaps, and recommend whether we implement as-is or adapt our methods.\n\n- Respond to technical questionnaires, security reviews, and due diligence requests alongside Sales and Engineering.\n\nImplementation and Delivery:\n\n- Lead end-to-end implementation of Submarine in client environments, from solution design through deployment, configuration, testing, and go-live.\n\n- Design and deploy cloud-native or on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and manage containerised workloads in Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n- Adapt and automate deployment pipelines (CI/CD) to fit client change-control and release processes.\n\n- Troubleshoot application and integration components, such as connectivity to RabbitMQ and remote SFTP servers.\n\n- Configure client-specific data transformation and routing using JavaScript and API access within Submarine.\n\n- Apply security and compliance best practices, including system hardening, patching, and alignment with client security requirements.\n\nSupport and Continuous Improvement:\n\n- Act as a technical escalation point for support issues, diagnosing and resolving problems in live client environments.\n\n- Produce clear technical documentation, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and client-specific configuration records.\n\n- Define disaster recovery and fault tolerance approaches for client deployments.\n\n- Feed client learnings back to Product and Engineering to improve deployment tooling, standards, and the Submarine platform.\n\n- Mentor colleagues and promote DevOps best practices across the Implementation team.\n\nSkills and Qualifications:\n\nEssential:\n\n- 6+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering.\n\n- Proven experience in a client-facing technical role.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).\n\n- Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS).\n\n- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and cloud-native patterns.\n\n- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).\n\n- Proficiency in scripting or programming (JavaScript and Python, Go).\n\n- Excellent troubleshooting skills across networking, messaging (RabbitMQ), and file transfer (SFTP).\n\n- Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.\n\nSoft Skills:\n\n- Confident presenter who builds credibility quickly with client technical teams.\n\n- Comfortable working asynchronously and collaborating across Sales, Engineering, Support, and clients.\n\n- Agile mindset with a focus on iterative delivery and ownership.\n\nWorking With Us:\n\nYou will work closely with business analysts, engineering teams, Sales, and Support, deepening your
