This service includes, but is not limited to,\nthe dictates of workflow requirements as stated by the cognizant Director Data\nInformation and Analysis.\nCOMPILING\nand REVIEWING RECORDS - The successful database administrator / data\nprofessional shall utilize current MTA designated computer interfaces and\nsystems, as detailed herein to include both internal reports and databases.\nDATA\nANALYSIS - Under the direction of the cognizant Director Data Information and\nAnalysis, the database administrator / data professional Consultant will be\nresponsible for the successful analysis and presentation of data. Data\nanalysis includes the ability to compile crime related data fields, enter data,\nassign priorities, follow Standard Operations Procedures (“SOP”) and determine\nrelevancy, and utilize SQL PYTHON to turn varied datasets into actionable\ninsights.. Data collection and gathering from various MTA Agencies for daily\nsecurity operational statistics. Development of action plans, schedules, and\nkeeping meeting participants currently appraised.\nConnect\nand integrate data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets,\nrelational databases, and cloud services, into synchronized datasets.\nClean\nand organize data to ensure it is suitable for reporting and analysis.\nDevelop\nand maintain reports and dashboards which provide data insight and support\nmanagement decision-making.\nIdentify\nareas of system optimization based on business processes.\nFollow\nsecurity measures to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data\nprotection regulations.\nCollaborate\nwith business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand\nrequirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.\nCreate,\nmaintain and manage documentation for data models, report specifications, and\nadherence to best practices.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEXPERIENCE & EDUCATION\nBachelor’s\ndegree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a\nsimilarly related field.\nSolid\nand progressive experience in working with relational databases.\nExcellent\nanalytical skills with the ability to dissect large amounts of data.\nStrong\ncommunication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex information.\nExperience\nin the transportation especially in railroad industry is a plus.\n4+\nyears of experience in Reporting and Dashboards.\n4+\nyears in database technologies and strong writing skills.\nMicrosoft\nPower BI Data Analyst certified preferred.\nGood\ncommunication skills to translate business requirements into Dashboards and\nReporting\nProficient\nin MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project\nExcellent\noral, written and presentation communication skill in successfully relating\ntechnical information to non-technical personnel.\nStrong\nanalytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility\nto effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.\nAbility\nto independently set priorities and meet deadlines.\nExcellent\ninter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels\nof the
