As part of our finance team, you support business operations through the preparation of annual budgets for various departments and business teams, as well as through analysis of key business information and drivers. Your analysis and recommendations direct and drive operational decisions and have a considerable impact on the health of the organization.\nThe Financial Analyst's responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nFinancial Analysis & Reporting\nReviewing and analyzing actual financial results against budget, forecast, and prior periods. \nTracking KPIs and preparing financial reports.\nCompare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement\nDevelop financial dashboards and KPIs for management. \nPrepare profitability analysis by customer, project, business unit, product/service line, or location. \nAnalyze gross margin trends and identify opportunities for margin improvement.\nAssisting with month end processes\nBudget & Forecasting\nCoordinate the annual budgeting process and meeting with department leaders monthly on budget/actual.\nOperation & Business Analysis\nAnalyze labour utilization, overtime, productivity, and labour-cost trends. \nDevelop costing models to support pricing and quoting decisions, as required.\nAnalyze purchasing and material-cost trends, developing reporting to inform business of material changes\nIdentify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.\nDeveloping financial projections and building financial models.\nStrategic & Executive Support\nPrepare financial analysis to support leadership and Board decision-making, ad-hoc reporting as needed.\nBuild business cases for new equipment, facilities, technology, or other investments.\nSupport acquisition analysis, including historical financial analysis, normalization, valuation inputs, and financial due diligence.\nSupport long-term financial planning and enterprise-value initiatives.\nSystems & Data\nDevelop and maintain financial models, reporting templates, and dashboards.\nExtract and analyze information from the ERP and accounting systems\nWork with Finance and Operations to improve costing, reporting, and financial processes.\nEnsuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.\nProficient in Power BI & Dashboard report creation\nAbility to present financial information to a non-financial audience.\nWorking knowledge of financial strategies.\nStrong organizational and multitasking skills.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.\nDetail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nFull cycle accounting experience would be an asset \nPrevious experience working with NAV Dynamics is an asset\nHighly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with experience in Power BI considered an asset\nWe Look Forward to Hearing from You!\nWe are committed to diversity and inclusion.
