A Machinist Apprentice is responsible for working closely with other Machinists, Engineering, Product Development, Fabrication and Assembly personnel, you will work to produce high quality products efficiently and with a high focus on safety while being mentored by a licensed individual. As a Machinist Apprentice you are a key point in assisting the team, learning, and developing skills to proceed towards becoming fully licensed. The Machinist Apprentice promotes a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.\nLEARNING & DEVELOPING SKILLS TOWARDS:\nUnderstand and interpret engineers’ drawings\nSelect and use tooling required for specific jobs\nSelect and use proper measuring tools\nOrganize assigned tasks for efficiency\nCreate and use jigs and fixtures as required\nCompetently operate milling machine and lathe\nConduct preventative maintenance of milling machine and lathe\nMaintain tooling and report damaged equipment\nComplete tasks within agreed time constraints\nMaintain a clean and orderly workstation\nConsistently collaborate with Shop Manager and Engineering departments to improve TMG products\nAlways conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship\nRequirements\nCompletion of High School or equivalent \nPrevious Machinist experience considered a strong asset\nPrevious experience in a custom shop environment an asset \nRegistered 429A Machinist apprentice considered a strong asset \nYou have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers\nYou operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team\nYou have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues\nYou are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately\nWe Look Forward to Hearing from You!\nWe are committed to diversity and inclusion.
