Are you also pretty silly? Would you like to collaborate with other creative people to make a game that makes people laugh?\nTriband is working on our most ambitious project to date: a new systemic open-world game and a brand-new IP (this is not a WHAT THE? game). It’s something different, and currently still in the early days of development. As a Senior Game Programmer you'll be responsible for building the tech and underlying systems.\nHere’s what that looks like day to day\nIn collaboration with game designers, artists, and other programmers, you'll build new features for a game with an existing tech infrastructure, continuously iterating on improvements.\n\nYou’ll be one of the team’s domain experts, including balancing long-term code health with short-term needs and sharing best practices with your team mates.\n\nWe all work in Unity with C#, with every team member hands-on in the editor.\n\nOverall, you'll make sure the project is great to work on.\n\nThis includes things like...\nDesigning an architecture that allows for easy gameplay implementation and flexibility, with multi-platform support in mind.\n\nImplementing core systems, such as data storage, localization, analytics, etc.\n\nHelping designers, artists, and everyone else make their work as awesome as possible.\n\nMust-haves\nAt least 6 years of experience in game development in a similar role.\n\nWorked on multiple games as part of a team, and have been a part of the different stages of development.\n\nProficiency in C# and a deep knowledge of the Unity engine and editor, including its asset pipeline and editor tooling.\n\nExperience shipping iOS and macOS apps with hands-on integration of Apple platform services such as GameKit and the Game Controller framework, using Xcode and Swift.\n\nNice-to-haves\nExperience maintaining a live game, including coordinating and implementing updates, managing app store submissions, and keeping a live player base happy.\n\nExperience with Unity rendering pipeline, shader programming, and performance optimization for different platforms.\n\nExperience working with automated build pipelines like Jenkins.\n\nWhat always matters to us at Triband\nThe project you'll join is something new, but our ways of working are the same. We’ve always believed that games are made by teams, not solo rockstars, and good ideas can come from anyone. We love people who bring curiosity, generosity, flexibility, and strong opinions, especially when those opinions come with reasoning, openness, and a willingness to validate ideas properly.\nWe also care a lot about experimentation. Sometimes the weird idea is not the right fit. Sometimes the weird idea is the entire game! The trick is being able to explore it together, learn from it, and not get too precious when the experience tells us we’re wrong.\nPracticalities\nWe don’t offer relocation support or visa sponsorship for this role.\n\nWe work a 37-hour work week, with core hours 10-15, and the freedom to start and finish anywhere between 7 and 18.\n\nWe work on-site at our cozy office in central Copenhagen.\n\nNo crunch. People over deadlines.\n\nOur working language is English.\n\nWe offer\nSilly but ambitious projects, and the chance to work on and impact great games that reach millions of players.\n\nA playful and ambitious work environment where experimentation is encouraged.\n\nFriendly and kind colleagues who love making each other laugh as much as making games.\n\nA professional development budget to invest in your growth.\n\nSocial activities like Friday bars, hobby nights, board game nights, team events, you name it.\n\nDaily lunch at a local restaurant just a walk across the lakes away, with plant-based options (and soft ice on Thursdays).\n\nSix weeks of vacation (five standard plus one extra on us).\n\nPaid parental leave at full salary for the periods covered by state reimbursement.\n\nChild's first sick day on us, no questions asked.\n\nPension plan and private health insurance.\n\nEndless amounts of coffee.\n\nWHAT THE TRIBAND?\nTriband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, which is played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 50 wonderful humans are united by our mission to make everyone laugh. To do so, we focus on exploring comedy through gameplay. We like to break player expectations, use wonderful music, slick art, and create a quirky atmosphere. We experiment a lot, and it doesn’t always work out, but we always learn something.\nWe put people first and strive to create a safe and creative working environment. We believe that teams, not individuals, make games - and we believe diversity makes for better teams. For these reasons, we look for people who bring new perspectives and will challenge us and our way of doing things.\nFor more info about Triband, check out: triband.net/about","description_format":"text","description_chars":4837,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Health insurance","Parental leave","Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":true,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T12:41:41Z"}],"liveness":{"score":7,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.26,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":111,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:3","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/triband-senior-game-programmer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/triband-senior-game-programmer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T11:01:07Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
