You'll partner closely with our account GMs, our People team, and our external auditors and tax advisors.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn the monthly close\nRun the full close: bank and card reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and balance sheet reconciliations\n\nBook stock-based compensation, lease entries (ASC 842), and FX revaluation on foreign balances\n\nOwn the close calendar, review journal entries, and keep shortening the close\n\nRevenue and billing\nOwn revenue recognition and the deferred revenue rollforward under ASC 606 for our project-based client work\n\nIssue client invoices on contract schedules and run a monthly review with account leads to confirm billable amounts, milestones, and hours\n\nResolve invoicing exceptions - milestone slips, change orders, holdbacks - and review new contracts for billing and rev-rec treatment\n\nManage AR and follow up on aged balances\n\nPayroll, contractors and compensation\nRun bi-weekly payroll across our US and international entities plus external contractors, and record the resulting journals\n\nReview and pay our monthly external contractor roster, and onboard new contractors - W-9 and W-8BEN collection, payment setup, and the records that feed year-end filing\n\nCalculate and process quarterly sales commissions with GTM, including plan interpretation, split calls and payment through payroll\n\nCalculate and process quarterly bonuses\n\nOwn 401(k) administration - bi-weekly deferral funding, annual compliance testing, and Form 5500 with our plan provider\n\nAP and spend\nRun weekly payment runs and keep vendor spend flowing cleanly into the ledger\n\nReview major vendor invoices for prepaid vs. expense treatment\n\nAdminister our corporate card and expense platform - issue cards for new hires and review expense reimbursements against policy\n\nManage corporate mail and registered-agent correspondence, escalating tax and legal notices\n\nEquity administration\nIssue new-hire stock grants and prepare board consents\n\nProcess terminations, share repurchases and option exercises\n\nTrack 83(b) elections and ISO/NSO status\n\nRun the annual 409A valuation process with our cap-table provider\n\nReporting, audit, and compliance\nProduce month-end financial statements and the monthly reporting package\n\nManage our annual audit end to end - auditor relationship, PBC schedules, and the first-year opening balance sheet\n\nIssue annual 1099, W-2 and 1042-S forms, including foreign contractor reporting\n\nOwn the annual tax return package and manage the relationship with our tax advisor\n\nOwn the compliance calendar: quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments, Delaware franchise tax, state registrations and secretary of state filings\n\nMaintain the chart of accounts and run periodic access reviews across our finance systems\n\nWhat we're looking for\n5-8 years of progressive accounting experience; you've owned a month-end close end to end, ideally at a fast-growing company\n\nHands-on ASC 606 experience with services or project-based revenue (time & materials, milestones, deferred revenue)\n\nWorking knowledge of ASC 842 and stock-based compensation accounting\n\nExperience with multi-country payroll accounting and multi-currency balances\n\nYou've run payroll end to end and are comfortable owning equity and benefits administration\n\nFluency with modern cloud accounting/ERP systems (think NetSuite or Sage Intacct tier) and spend-management tools\n\nCPA or a public accounting foundation is a plus\n\nYou use AI tools in your daily work and want to push what a modern finance function looks like - we're an AI company and expect the same fluency internally\n\nYou build process where there is none, document as you go, and communicate clearly with non-finance partners\n\nWhy Join Us\nJoin at an inflection point - we're in hyperscale mode on every dimension of the business, and the accounting function is yours to build as it scales.\n\nYour work lands on the desks that matter - the monthly package you produce goes straight to the CEO\n\nWe're profitable - the growth you'll be accounting for is funded by the business itself.
