This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi.\n\nTrident Group of Companies, through Astral Industries Ltd, is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to source quality materials and services for our manufacturing, plumbing, and vocational training divisions.\n\nJob Purpose:\n\nTo source quality materials and services at competitive cost, and to manage the purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery. All procurement activity is tracked accurately in ERPNext.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSource and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials (plastics, steel) and plumbing inventory.\n\nSecure competitive pricing and favourable credit terms.\n\nProcess purchase orders and manage the full procurement workflow in ERPNext.\n\nTrack shipments and follow up on delivery timelines.\n\nCoordinate with manufacturing and plumbing teams to forecast material needs.\n\nPrevent supply bottlenecks for Jumbo Tank and Wasser Pipes production.\n\nEvaluate vendor samples and inspect incoming deliveries for quality.\n\nTrack supplier performance against set KPIs and KRAs.\n\nMaintain accurate procurement, supplier, and inventory records.\n\nReport supply delays, shortages, or quality issues promptly.\n\nSourcing & Purchasing\n\nIdentify and negotiate with suppliers for plastics, steel, and plumbing hardware.\n\nProcess purchase orders and manage requisitions in ERPNext.\n\nTrack shipments and confirm deliveries against orders.\n\nSource institutional supplies for TVTC and other divisions.\n\nSupply Planning & Quality Control\n\nCoordinate with production and plumbing teams to anticipate material requirements.\n\nPrevent stock-outs and supply bottlenecks across brands.\n\nEvaluate vendor samples and inspect incoming deliveries against quality standards.\n\nSupplier Management & Reporting\n\nTrack supplier performance using established KPIs and KRAs.\n\nMaintain accurate supplier, purchase, and inventory records.\n\nPromptly report delays, price changes, or quality issues.\n\nQualifications \n\nDegree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.\n\n2–4 years of procurement experience;
