printer device in the laboratory\n\nMaterials and Supplies:Maintains inventory of all media, reagents and supplies for the department.\nPrepares weekly media order for vendors\nRotation of media for expiration dates\n\nAdministrative and other:Orients and trains new or less experience personnel\nAnswers telephone and takes messages\nReviews pending report to look for missing specimens and test results.\nTroubleshoot for test(s) not entered in our data system.\nRequires receiving and processing samples.\n\nSKILLS|EXPERIENCE:\no High School Graduate or equivalent and minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.\no Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, effectively interacting with other personnel.\no Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.\no Must possess speed, consistency and accuracy in meeting the laboratory standard of performance.\no Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment, performing a variety of changing tasks.\no Be able to concentrate and committed to the task assigned.\no Display a high level of cognitive, interpretive or judgment skills in troubleshooting instruments.\no Have documentation of training appropriate to ensure that the individual has all the following skills and abilities:\n· Proper specimen collection appropriate to the test ordered: i.e. specimen requirements for lab test(s)\n· The skills required for performing basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of lab instruments.\n· A working knowledge of reagent stability and storage\n· Awareness of the factors that influence test results\n· Skills required to assist the CLS in the operation of fully automated
