# Phlebotomy Supervisor

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees phlebotomy operations and personnel on all shifts including scheduling available staff in an efficient manner. Communicate Facility Concerns to Area managers Work with Area Managers and other Field personnel in such a way as to provide excellent customer service. Must be able to work under minimal supervision and accurately maintain time records. Regularly reviews phlebotomy competency, providing training, skills assessment and in-service education of assigned staff as required. Monitoring STAT’s, Peak & Trough and after hours specimen collection. Interacts with Phlebotomy Manager and Laboratory Director to ensure that these personnel are trained in such a way as to provide phlebotomy services satisfactorily and within local, state and federal regulations. Prepares and evaluates reports indicating phlebotomy production progress. Prepares regular and annual evaluations of phlebotomy staff. Works cooperatively with all other departments, including but not limited to: Laboratory Dispatch, Courier Dispatch, Couriers, Accessioning, Customer Service and Data Entry.
