Trileaf serves the wireless communications, real estate, and financial industries from its headquarters in St. Louis, MO and many branch offices throughout the U.S.\nPosition Summary: The Electrical Designer creates electrical line diagrams, floorplans, and construction documents in collaboration with Trileaf's Electrical Engineer, applying AutoCAD and/or Revit skills along with knowledge of electrical and energy codes, specifications, and construction techniques.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nResearch applicable electrical and energy codes to ensure all documents comply with applicable code requirements, with assistance and input from the Electrical Engineer\nComplete 2-3 electrical sheets per set of construction documents, including line diagrams, electrical floorplans, lighting sheets, and panel schedules\nCollaborate with the Electrical Engineer to produce accurate, code-compliant electrical construction documents\nDesign electrical systems for commercial buildings generally located in tenant spaces.\nReview 3D models, photographs, and as-built plans to understand existing conditions for Tenant Improvement (TI) projects.\nCollaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project specifications are met\nPerform load calculations and determine electrical requirements\nSelect and specify electrical components, materials, and equipment\nPrepare and review detailed plans and specifications for electrical installations\nEnsure designs comply with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards\nTroubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues\nUtilize AutoCAD and/or Revit software to create detailed and accurate designs\nPrepare and submit necessary documentation and reports, including energy code compliance documentation using COMcheck\nStay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements\nParticipate in project meetings and provide technical guidance\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Skills & Abilities:\nProficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to research and apply electrical and energy code requirements\nUnderstanding of mechanical design elements\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, schematics, drawings, and models\nEducation and Experience:\nCertificate or greater in drafting, electrical engineering, architecture, or a similar field preferred but not required\nAt least 1 year of professional experience in electrical drafting, utilizing AutoCAD or Revit\nLicenses and Certifications:\nNo specific licenses or certifications required\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
