The intern will assist with day-to-day accounts payable activities, invoice processing, payment documentation, vendor support, and finance administration while gaining hands-on exposure to accounting operations within a global organization. This role will report to the Accounts Payable Lead in Amman and will work closely with finance colleagues supporting APCO's North America offices. The candidate must be based in Amman, Jordan and available to work on-site from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Jordan local time.\nJob Responsibilities\nSupport the review, coding, and processing of supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.\n\nAssist with maintaining accounts payable records, invoice files, payment confirmations, and supporting documentation.\n\nHelp verify invoices, expense-related documentation, and vendor information in line with internal procedures.\n\nSupport vendor account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items as required.\n\nAssist with monitoring accounts payable mailboxes and responding to routine inquiries under the guidance of the Accounts Payable Lead.\n\nSupport the preparation of payment documentation and related finance trackers.\n\nAssist with data entry and updates within APCO’s accounting and finance systems.\n\nHelp identify discrepancies and escalate issues to the Accounts Payable Lead when needed.\n\nSupport month-end closing activities, reporting requirements, and accounts payable follow-ups.\n\nParticipate in finance process improvement initiatives and ad hoc assignments as requested.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nPrevious internship experience in finance or accounting is a plus.\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nGood organizational and time management skills.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English.\n\nProactive, reliable, and eager to learn.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with local and international teams.\n\nCareers at APCO\nThrough our recruitment, hiring and retention efforts, APCO is committed to building teams to bring the best possible expertise and robust perspectives to our clients.
