The Staff Accountant reports to the Financial Controller - US. This position will sit in APCO's Jordan office and work second shift to match with US working hours (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Jordan time).\nPrimary Position Responsibilities:\nPrepare monthly general ledger account analysis of balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations for our North America office. \nPerform weekly offsets and regularized clearing of AR, maintaining accurate aging\nRecord Inter-company payments and invoices.\nProviding cash receipts for accounts receivable to support daily processing\nManage assigned accounts payable functions including setting up and recording wire vendor payments.\nRecord expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and making adjusting/reclassification journal entries as needed\nSupport the month end close by preparing ongoing journal entries and accruals\nProvide ad hoc analysis and support\nQualifications & Standards:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, or business administration with a focus in accounting\nMinimum of 2-4 years of related work experience including journal entries, month-end close processes, reconciliations & analysis\nCPA or CPA candidate highly desirable\nStrong computer skills: proficient Excel skills, Deltek Maconomy ERP system, and other Microsoft Office products\nDetail oriented with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nRequired Competencies:\nClient Service\nCommunication Skills\nProject Management\nResearch & Analysis\nCritical Thinking Skills\nInnovation\nInitiative\nTeamwork\nPlanning & Organization\nFinancial Management\nStrategic Thinking Skills\nProfessional Presence\nKnowledge Seeking & Sharing\nEmployee Management & Development\nAnalytical Skills\nLeadership\nCareers at APCO\nThrough our recruitment, hiring and retention efforts, APCO is committed to building teams to bring the best possible expertise and robust perspectives to our clients.
