Using excellent client service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.\nYour Primary Responsibilities will include\nConduct on-site inspection work for environmental, water, sewer, and other public works projects and programs. Inspects all phases of construction and improvement work contracted by the client to assure that the appropriate construction is completed in compliance with the plans, standards, specifications, special requirements, codes and regulations.\nReview and process contractor invoices \nRespond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) \nReview and process work change directives/change orders \nPrepare substantial completion punch lists \nReview and approve contractor shop drawings \nWhat you'll need\nGraduated High School/GED and minimum 3 years of related experience \nKnowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods as applicable to a municipal setting; working knowledge of applicable laws, standards and regulations relating to construction, inspection, and safety. \nConsiderable knowledge of public utility/works inspection methods. \nConsiderable skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications, and contract documents \nAbility to prepare, organize and maintain inspection field and office data, reports and systems.
