We need someone who can lead teams, remove obstacles, make sound technical decisions, and create an environment where engineers can do their best work.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. \nProduct Delivery: Own engineering execution across assigned digital products and platform capabilities, ensuring predictable delivery, quality, and alignment with product priorities. \nTechnical Direction: Partner with the Platform Architect and Data Architect to translate architectural direction into practical engineering solutions and maintain technical consistency. \nHands-On Engineering: Stay close to implementation through design reviews, code reviews, technical problem-solving, and support for complex engineering challenges. \nEngineering Excellence: Establish and improve engineering practices, including code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, observability, and secure development. \nPlatform & Product Development: Balance the delivery of business-facing digital products with the development of reusable platform services and shared capabilities. \nPlanning & Execution: Lead technical planning, estimation, resource allocation, dependency management, and delivery commitments in partnership with Product Management. \nReliability & Operations: Ensure production readiness, system reliability, performance, incident response, and ongoing improvement of deployed applications. \nTeam Development: Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, mentoring, and career development for engineers. \nCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, Data, Architecture, IT, and business stakeholders to solve problems and deliver measurable business value. \nContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, reduce technical debt, simplify processes, and accelerate delivery. \n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading or managing engineering teams. \nProven experience delivering enterprise-scale SaaS products, cloud-native applications, or digital platforms. \nStrong technical background in modern software development, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. \nExperience leading cross-functional distributed engineering teams in an Agile product development environment. \nSolid understanding of software architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, security, and production operations. \nExperience building shared enterprise platforms, reusable services, or internal developer platforms. \nExperience scaling engineering teams and establishing engineering processes in growing organizations. \nExperience building shared enterprise platforms, reusable services, or internal developer platforms. \n\nAbout Trilon\nTrilon was formed with the vision of building the next Top 20 infrastructure consulting firm in North America by bringing together some of the nation’s best infrastructure consulting firms, focused on delivering practical and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
