We are seeking an experienced and motivated Rail Project Engineer to design and lead rail projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of railroad design, grading, rail layout, rail corridors, federal and state regulations, and a strong competency in CAD. This role will involve strengthening client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring successful project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead design efforts for and support Project Managers manage an array of small to large rail projects simultaneously.\nAssist the Project Manager assign and train junior staff to work proficiently in CAD to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.\nAttend client meetings and support the strengthening of client relationships by contributing to meetings and delivering projects successfully.\nCoordinate with governing agencies across multiple states to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.\nImplement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures throughout project development.\nWork closely with Project Managers to gain deeper understanding of business practices and grow into Project management.\nTravel occasionally to rail project sites, in person client meeting, and industry conferences.\nPerform other duties as needed.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering.\nMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience in rail, transit or site development projects.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required\nProficiency in MS Office applications.\nStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nCommitment to actively contributing to a dynamic and employee-owned culture.\nBenefits\n At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
