The ideal candidate combines strong technical judgment with the interpersonal skills to serve as a trusted partner to clients and a mentor to project staff.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead multi-disciplinary projects from concept through closeout, ensuring technical quality, budget control, and schedule adherence throughout. \nOversee preparation of engineering studies, designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. \nServe as the primary client contact for assigned projects, provide proactive communication and consistently delivering responsive, high-quality service. \nMaintain strong client relationships by understanding client needs, addressing concerns promptly, and positioning Waggoner as a long-term partner. \nUtilize Waggoner’s project management systems-including Deltek-to manage project records, monitor financials, process invoicing, and execute closeout. \nConduct site visits and support construction-phase services, including review of submittals, RFIs, and resolution of field issues. \nMentor and develop junior engineers and project staff; provide performance feedback to Discipline Managers. \nCollaborate with Discipline Managers and office leadership to coordinate resources, share expertise, and support proposal development. \nWhat you'll need\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field required; Master’s degree preferred \n5 years of related experience, including five or more years in project management and five or more years of direct client interaction. \nFive or more years of supervisory or coordination experience; knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations required. \nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama required. \nMust complete Waggoner’s PM qualification and certification within one year of employment. \nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and other applications \nSuperior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively. \nWhy Join Our Team\nWe know work isn't only about what you do, it's also about who you work for and with!
