We’re expanding our Community Development team in Tampa and looking for a Project Manager / Site Civil Engineer who’s ready to take ownership of meaningful projects and play a key role in shaping communities across Florida.\nIn this role, you’ll lead and work on projects that are designed by CPH’s Community Development Team with a focus on the site civil aspects of the design including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, construction plan preparation, and permitting. These projects are for a variety of clients locally, regionally, and throughout the U.S. Projects include parks and recreation, operations and public works complexes, public safety, education and institutional projects, airport facilities, and localized and regional drainage systems. You will lead the team and projects from initial concept and due diligence through permitting and construction. This is a high-visibility position offering leadership responsibility, client interaction, and a clear path for growth.\nWhat You'll Do:\nServe as a lead / senior civil engineer on a variety of site/civil project types. \nTake a leadership role and perform general and specific portions of project or as part of a team with other experienced engineers. \nWork under supervision of a Program Manager, however able to organize workload and work independently on project-specific design tasks. \nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff. \nServe as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services. \nPrepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, and specifications to ensure quality and compliance. \nDevelop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. \nPreparation of permits such as ERPs(Environmental Resource Permits), FDEP NPDES, SWPPP, Grading, Utilities (FDEP and FDOH), and Civil Support for local county/city site development permitting. \nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, transportation, and surveying.\nProactively identify risks and develop practical, cost-effective solutions to keep projects on track.\nEnsure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations as well as CPH’s high-quality standards.\nWhat You'll Bring:\n\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.\n8+ years of experience in site/civil engineering.\nProven experience managing site development projects and client relationships.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain quickly) strongly preferred.\n\n Technical Skills:\nStrong experience with site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design.\nProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.\nFamiliarity with local permitting processes and regulatory requirements.\nExperience with project management tools (Deltek Vision, Smartsheet, or similar) is a plus.\n\n Professional Skills:\nStrong leadership, communication, and client-facing
