This is a newly created role driven by a significant and expanding portfolio of dam repair, dam removal, and climate-resiliency projects across New England. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, overseeing complex projects from planning through design and permitting, while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development initiatives.\n\nThis position is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with deep technical expertise in dam engineering and water resources, strong project management skills, and a passion for resilient, sustainable infrastructure solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage dam repair and dam removal projects from planning through design, permitting, and construction support\nDevelop project scopes, fees, schedules, and budgets; oversee contracts and project delivery\nPrepare and review engineering analyses, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates\nCoordinate and support local, state, and federal permitting and grant applications\nApply hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design and regulatory submissions\nCollaborate with clients, regulators, and internal multidisciplinary teams across New England\nSupport business development efforts, including funding strategy development and proposals\nMentor and provide technical oversight to junior and mid-level engineers\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\n10+ years of experience in water resources and dam engineering\nStrong knowledge of dam safety regulations, codes, and industry standards\nExperience leading dam repair and removal design efforts\nProven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports and permit applications\nProficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software\nWorking knowledge of CAD-based design tools\nStrong project management, communication, and mentoring skills\nAbility to travel up to 10-15% throughout New England\n\nThis is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds-collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week.
