As a Professional Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.\nWhat are the core responsibilities for the role?\nDevelopment of project work plans and scopes of work\nPrepare roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D\nProduce project deliverables including technical memoranda, design plans and specifications, and technical reports\nPrepare supporting calculations, construction specifications, and permitting in various jurisdictions\nPrepare construction cost models and engineer opinion of probable cost for projects through various stages of development, including due diligence to final construction document submittal for bidding\nMaintain effective communications with clients and project teams\nTechnical Reporting and Presentations\nConstruction Observation and Coordination with Construction Contractors\nConduct regular meetings to ensure that project needs are balanced with staff availability\nQualifications, Skills, and Competencies:\nUndergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering\nProfessional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year\n3-8 years of progressive experience.\nA self-directed practitioner with project delivery skills\nOutstanding personnel skills and the ability to communicate at all levels\nMust be able to work effectively as a team member in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients\nOrganized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Suite\nExperience with drainage and utility reports\nExperience working with both private or municipal clients\nExperience and understanding of local, regional, state, and federal policies, programs, and procedures\nWhy would a candidate want this job?\n At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
