We are seeking a Structure/Bridge Practice Leader to guide bridge and structural engineering efforts, lead project delivery, and develop technical talent. This role offers an opportunity to shape a growing practice and provide leadership on a variety of structural transportation projects.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead structural design and analysis for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation-related structures. \nPrepare structural calculations, design reports, load ratings, design plans, and specifications. \nOversee production of structural drawings and coordinate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, and survey teams. \nManage multiple structural projects, including budgets, schedules, and client communication. \nReview the work of junior engineers and provide mentorship, training, and technical direction. \nConduct quality control reviews to ensure compliance with PennDOT standards, AASHTO LRFD, and applicable codes. \nSupport proposals, project scoping, and business development activities as MSG expands its structural practice in PA. \nAttend coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams. \nLead efforts to improve structural design processes, workflows, and team development. \nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related field. \nProfessional Engineer (PE) required; Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred. \n15+ years of structural engineering experience with bridges or transportation structures. \nExperience with PennDOT design criteria and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. \nProficiency in structural analysis software such as LEAP Bridge, STAAD, LARSA, SAP2000, or equivalent. \nDemonstrated ability to manage and lead teams. \nStrong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills. \n Preferred Qualifications\nExperience delivering PennDOT or local agency projects. \nExperience conducting load ratings and complex structure analysis. \nAbility to support and grow a new structural engineering team in a developing market. \n\nBenefits\n401(k) w/ company match\nHealth insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, Life\nFlexible schedule\nPaid time off\nReferral program\nTuition reimbursement\n Catalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
