We encourage our teams to connect on multiple levels and support each other’s personal and professional growth.\nWhat you’ll do\n As our Environmental Project Manager, you’ll be asked to take on dynamic projects. We'll also count on you to:\nPlan, design and execute environmental projects, including everything from Phase I and Phase II site assessments to brownfield redevelopment and regulatory compliance and permitting.\nDevelop new clients and maintain clients by establishing a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on the firm’s Core Values.\nOversee projects using resources to accurately invoice clients and stay within scope and budget. \nMaintain project schedule and meet deliverable deadlines for our clients.\nPrepare client contracts, statements of qualifications and fee proposals. \nCommunicate ideas and concepts to co-workers and with clients on sensitive and complex matters.\nAct as a client liaison by having a clear understanding of client needs and applying innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.\nConduct site visits and complete fieldwork as needed.\nPerform quality control for projects and clients. \nDevelop and maintain a high-level understanding of environmental markets, clients, and technology trends and advancements.\nAttend meetings, and community and industry events. \nFollow and research industry trends and share that information with the team.\nSupervise direct reports.\n What it takes\n Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Biology, Ecology or Physical Science with an emphasis in environmental engineering or a related degree. We would like to talk with you if you have seven or more years of environmental or project management experience, preferably at a professional consulting firm. Ideally, you’ll also:\nHave a proven track record of managing multiple clients and projects at once. \nHave knowledge of state regulatory agency guidance including but not limited to Illinois Leaking Underground Storage Tank (including reimbursement) and Site Remediation Programs.\nHave strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.\nHold Project Management certification. \nHold a Professional Geologist License in the state of IL.\nBe a highly motivated self-starter able to effectively communicate with all levels of clients and coworkers.\nDrive for results within a solutions mindset. \nHave excellent verbal and written skills.\nBe proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software and tools. \nTravel to client sites and firm locations.\n\nWhat you’ll get\n You’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
