Municipal Engineering - Fehr Graham\n\nWhat you’ll do\nServe as the primary on-site representative for construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards.\nManage and oversee day-to-day field operations for roadways, bridges, utility installations, and other civil infrastructure projects.\nCoordinate with contractors, subconsultants, municipal clients, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and maintain project progress.\nPerform and document field inspections, materials testing, and quality control procedures.\nMonitor construction schedules and budgets; proactively identify and address potential delays or overruns.\nMaintain accurate project records, field notes, daily reports, and change documentation.\nEnsure adherence to safety protocols and project-specific requirements.\nProvide leadership and mentorship to field staff and engineering interns.\nSupport project managers with closeout documentation, punch lists, and final inspections.\n What it takes\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.\nLicensed EIT preferred, Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.\n5+ years of experience in construction engineering, including roadway or municipal infrastructure projects.\nExperience with WisDOT and/or IDOT projects, specifications, and documentation procedures is highly preferred.\nProficiency in construction inspection, documentation, and contract administration.\nFamiliarity with field tools and software such as AASHTOWare Project, Microsoft Excel, and CAD-based systems.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.\nValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites in the region.\nWhat you’ll get\n You’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
