As a Structures CAD Technician, you will support structural engineers in preparing detailed construction documents for complex structures related to heavy civil and municipal projects. Horrocks provides our employees with the opportunity to Learn More, Do More, and Earn More.\nWhat are the core responsibilities for the role?\nPrepare detailed structural drawings and construction documents for heavy civil and municipal projects\nDevelop plans, sections, details, and schedules for concrete vaults, culverts, storage tanks, retaining walls, foundations, and other structural components\nDraft structural components for roadway, site civil, federal, and municipal projects\nCollaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and timely PS&E contract documents\nAssist with quantity takeoffs and preparation of cost estimates\nRevise drawings based on engineer markups and internal QA/QC reviews\nMaintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with company and client CAD standards\nCoordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of structural elements\nAssist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering\nStructures lead for smaller projects, coordinating staff and design efforts\nQualifications, Skills, and Competencies:\nAssociate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n3 to 7 years of experience in structural or civil drafting preferred\nProficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation required\nExperience with Bentley software (OpenRoads, OpenBridge, STAAD models for drafting integration) a plus\nFamiliarity with structural detailing for concrete and steel components\nUnderstanding of civil and structural construction plans and specifications\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work\nWillingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices; limited travel (Why would a candidate want this job?\n At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
