The salary range is $80,000 to $96,000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate's relevant skills and experience.Job Details\nTrimac Transportation is a North American leader in bulk logistics with over 80 years of industry expertise. We are seeking a safety-focused and results-driven Facility Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our washrack. This role ensures cleanliness, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance of all fleet assets while supervising maintenance and cleaning personnel.\nReporting to the Facility Manager or Area Manager, the Facility Supervisor is accountable for team leadership, facility upkeep, regulatory compliance, customer service, and financial stewardship related to equipment maintenance and tank cleaning.\nWho You Are\nStrong leadership and team supervision skills.\nSolid understanding of mechanical maintenance and tank cleaning operations.\nFamiliarity with hazardous materials handling and environmental regulations.\nGood time management, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.\nProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook); experience with digital work order systems is an asset.\nAbility to work independently in both shop and outdoor environments.\nResponsibilities\nPeople Leadership\nSupervise, schedule and train washrack personnel.\nEnsure proper onboarding, coaching, and cross-training across functional areas.\nMonitor payroll and overtime to ensure labor cost efficiency.\nHire, train, supervise, and coach washrack staff including mechanics, technicians, and support personnel.\nFoster a safety-first culture through daily leadership and employee engagement.\nFacility & Equipment Oversight\nEnsure the facility, equipment, and grounds are maintained in safe and operational condition.\nCoordinate maintenance and cleaning of company and customer assets in accordance with Trimac standards.\nPerform daily inspections of equipment and workflows to ensure efficiency and safety.\nIdentify and coordinate repair or replacement needs for mechanical and wash equipment. \nOperational Efficiency\nManage preventive maintenance schedules and daily workflow to maximize fleet availability.\nOversee cleaning and testing processes including hose control, effluent handling, and recordkeeping.\nMaintain inventory of tools, supplies, and cleaning agents; support cost control by monitoring consumption.\nEnsure service-ready equipment is available to meet operational demands.\nRegulatory & Safety Compliance\nEnforce compliance with DOT/Transport Canada regulations and environmental policies.\nEnsure proper handling and disposal of chemicals and waste materials.\nMaintain accurate logs and records of maintenance, cleaning, and inspections.\nLead or support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.\nCustomer Service & Internal Collaboration\nServe as a liaison between service operations, dispatch, and terminal leadership.\nSupport internal users by ensuring fleet assets meet cleanliness and mechanical readiness requirements.\nPromote effective communication and collaboration across departments.\nFinancial Management\nMonitor and manage parts inventory including consigned stock and usage trends.\nAssist in budgeting and cost tracking for labor, supplies, and services.\nSupport inventory audits and participate in procurement planning.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Operations, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field is preferred.\n3-5 years of experience in industrial, maintenance, or cleaning operations.\nSupervisory or lead hand experience required.\nKnowledge of DOT/Transport Canada regulations and industry safety standards is an asset.\nBenefits\nWe invest in our employee’s growth through training and development programs.
