The Dispatcher ensures timely deliveries, resolves logistical issues, and maintains accurate records of transportation activities.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: \nRoute Planning and Coordination:\nPlan and coordinate delivery routes for drivers based on factors such as distance, traffic, and customer requests.\nOptimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times, fuel consumption, and vehicle wear and tear.\nDispatching and Communication:\nDispatch drivers to assigned routes and provide them with detailed instructions, schedules, and relevant information.\nMaintain constant communication with drivers via phone, radio, or messaging systems to provide updates, directions, and assistance as needed.\nCustomer Service:\nServe as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing updates on delivery status.\nEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service and promptly resolving any concerns or complaints.\nLogistics Coordination:\nCoordinate with warehouse staff, logistics personnel, and other internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders.\nMonitor inventory levels, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines to proactively address any potential delays or issues.\nDocumentation and Record Keeping:\nMaintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver assignments, delivery schedules, and customer interactions.\nProblem Solving:\nQuickly identify and resolve logistical issues, such as route deviations, vehicle breakdowns, or delivery delays, to minimize disruptions and maintain service levels.\nSafety Compliance:\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding driver behavior, vehicle maintenance, and transportation operations.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, prioritize activities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and instructions to drivers, customers, and team members.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions under pressure.\nDedication to providing exceptional service to customers by addressing their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring timely deliveries.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.\nPrevious experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations preferred.\nProficiency in computer software systems for routing, dispatching, and communication (e.g., GPS navigation, dispatching software, Microsoft Office).\nFamiliarity with transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.\nStrong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.\nAvailability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.\nAbility to successfully pass a background check post offer
