Working under general direction, you will play a vital role in optimizing inventory, enhancing supplier relations, and executing strategic procurement decisions. \n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: \nStrategic Procurement:\nLead strategic procurement initiatives, managing goods and services with increased financial commitments and technical complexities.\nApply advanced analytical and negotiation skills to ensure optimal procurement outcomes.\nInventory Optimization:\nOversee inventory management to maintain high fill rate accuracy in distribution centers.\nEmploy advanced value analysis techniques to minimize Total Cost of Ownership.\nSupplier Relationship Management:\nTake a lead role in managing supplier relations, resolving complex issues, and fostering collaborative partnerships.\nDecision-Making and Analysis:\nIndependently make timely decisions, employing advanced analysis to determine the most appropriate course of action.\nOptimize purchase orders, negotiate terms, manage delivery, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain meticulous records.\nSales Support and Collaboration:\nProvide expert support to the sales team, addressing complex product inquiries, negotiating terms, and facilitating seamless order fulfillment.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.\nCompliance and Process Enhancement:\nEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures, contributing to the enhancement of procurement processes.\nConduct periodic reviews to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\nAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and make strategic decisions.\nDeep understanding of material flow and requirements planning (MRP), including advanced concepts such as order points, lead-time, and safety stock.\nProven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to think strategically, align procurement activities with organizational goals, and contribute to overall business strategy.\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with advanced negotiation abilities.\nProven ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, take initiative, and drive results.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\n2 – 3 years of experience in a senior-level purchasing or procurement role, or equivalent military or practical experience.\nProficiency in advanced software tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe/Nitro Pro, Explorer, and Infor Distribution SX.\nAbility to tackle complex problems and devise innovative solutions.\nAdvanced mathematical skills, including calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.\nAbility to successfully pass a background check post offer
