This role requires strong customer interaction skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently. This position offer an incentive plan, compensation from door to door and a tuition reimbursement program that can be used for certifications that may be needed to grow into a Senior Service Technician position.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEquipment Service:\nComplete on-site repair and maintenance limited to: standard kitchen equipment and simple ice machines (no work performed on specialized equipment) on full on-call rotation\nRun intermediate troubleshooting and test tasks \nSurvey safety devices and equipment on a regular basis\nManage and retain proper equipment, parts inventory, and tools on service vehicle while keeping items in a safe condition for the respective level of service\nIndependently work on customers' foodservice equipment.\nPerform intermediate-level equipment and accessory installations.\nRepair and Maintenance:\nInspect food service equipment for the purpose of ensuring safety\nIdentify necessary repairs and provides ongoing preventative maintenance\nInventory Management:\nManage and maintain proper equipment, parts inventory, and tools on the service vehicle.\nMaintain and take periodic inventory of parts, materials and components as directed.\nCommunication:\nProvide timely and detailed service reports via assigned tablet.\nReach out to Senior Service Techs for troubleshooting or assistance periodically.\nUse field automation systems (i.e., tablets, cell phones, etc.).\nCustomer Interaction:\nProvide professional service and customer support during service calls and installations. \nComprehend customer requirements, build positive relationships, and take appropriate actions.\nSafety and Compliance:\nOperate vehicles in a safe manner.\nUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nDocumentation:\nRead and interpret equipment manuals for required maintenance and service.\nMaintain and take periodic inventory of parts, materials, and components as directed.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nInform management regarding intermediate procedures and/or status of work orders.\nHelp in other jobs as needed.\nPerform other related duties as required and assigned.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\nAdvanced communication skills with the ability to converse with customers and all levels of management.\nAbility to work independently and multitask effectively.\nExcellent phone etiquette, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.\nConfident presentation skills to convey information to groups of customers when needed.\nAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service foodservice equipment.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent \n1 – 2 years of experience in commercial installation and/or service and repair of foodservice equipment and kitchen/restaurant equipment, or equivalent military or practical experience.\nSuccessful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade school preferred, with a minimum of one-year hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration.\nIntermediate computer skills.\nEPA certifications of Level 1 & 2 preferred;
