This position requires someone with mechanical aptitude, basic construction skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Position requires extensive overnight travel.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: \nProduct Handling and Unloading:\nSafely unload trucks and handle products to minimize damage during transport.\nMove equipment to designated areas for assembly and installation.\nEquipment Assembly and Installation:\nAssemble and set up commercial kitchen equipment according to specifications and customer requirements.\nAssist with construction tasks such as erecting walk-in coolers/freezers and hanging exhaust hoods.\nConstruction Support:\nAssist with welding and polishing stainless steel components as needed.\nFollow blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate installations.\nLogistics and Maintenance:\nLoad tools and equipment onto trucks, ensuring proper securing for transport.\nConduct daily inspections and cleaning of trucks to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.\nQuality Assurance and Documentation:\nInspect installations with contractors and customers to ensure quality and satisfaction.\nComplete all required documentation accurately and promptly using computer tablets.\nCommunication and Coordination:\nCommunicate effectively with the Project Manager regarding job progress and any issues that arise.\nTrack expenses incurred during projects and adhere to company procedures.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\nStainless Steel Welding skills.\nFlexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer demands.\nClean driving record.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics.\nFamiliarity with commercial kitchen equipment (i.e. hoods, ice machines, dish machines, steamers, ranges, convection ovens, etc.), and basic construction principles.\nAbility to diagnose and address inventory discrepancy issues from beginning to end.\nProficiency with computers and mobile devices.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to multitask and assist with on-site project management.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nCritical thinking and problem-solving abilities.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.\n1 – 3 years of experience in general commercial construction.\nGeneral knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and basic construction codes.\nExperience working with mechanical equipment and stainless steel.\nWelding experience is a plus.\nCertification from a trade school is beneficial.\nAbility to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.\n\nPHYSICAL
