The role will also involve collaborating with teams across the organization to ensure that cross-functional processes, financial controls, and procedures operate effectively and efficiently.\nKey Exciting Responsibilities:\nProcess customer invoices and credit memos accurately and on a timely basis, ensuring they are distributed to the appropriate contacts.\nEnsure customer invoices comply with applicable U.S. and Canadian sales tax requirements and prepare monthly sales tax reports.\nManage and apply customer deposit invoices.\nMonitor aged accounts receivable and bad debt reserves, and follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances.\nApply cheque and credit card transactions to customer accounts and process credit card payments in accordance with standardized procedures that protect confidential and sensitive information.\nInvestigate and resolve customer inquiries and account-related issues.\nMaintain fixed asset sub-ledgers, including recording additions, disposals, transfers, and other changes.\nCalculate and record monthly depreciation.\nPrepare and post month-end journal entries, including foreign exchange gains and losses, accruals, and allocations.\nReconcile assigned general ledger accounts and fixed asset sub-ledgers accurately as part of the month-end close process.\nProvide backup support for Accounts Payable activities.\nPerform other accounting duties and ad hoc financial analysis as required.\nEssential Skills & Experience:\nDegree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.\n2-4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with members of the Applanix team and other departments.\nSound professional judgment and attention to detail.\nA customer-focused approach when working with both internal and external stakeholders.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong record-keeping and organizational abilities.\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.\nBonus Points For:\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or Salesforce. \nBackground in multi-currency transactions or international financial processes.\nLogistics:\nLocation: Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada OR Mexicali, Mexico (onsite)\nTravel Requirement: 0%\nWhy You'll Love Working With Us\nAt Trimble, we're not just a company that \"does good\"-we are a team dedicated to making a tangible, positive Real-World Impact.
