Find out more about our company and culture here.\nSummary\nThe TRIMEDX Biomedical Engineering Apprenticeship program in partnership of AAMI and the Department of Labor, is designed to provide on the job healthcare technology management training to participants enrolled in the 24-month learning program. Apprentices will learn by shadowing experienced clinical experts while coupling academic instruction from an accredited educational institution. Additionally, participants will be provided with learning opportunities from various web-based training curriculums, relevant industry seminars and in person trainings. Experiences will be vast and all-encompassing in an effort to maximize the program offerings.\nResponsibilities\nGain on the job training by shadowing experienced clinical leaders, biomedical technicians, lab technologists, and imaging engineers under the close supervision of TRIMEDX leadership\nDevelop and apply key client relationship skills and\nUnderstand the typical day of an engineer and how to work in a hospital environment\nRespond to service calls\nLearn how to balance workload, document repairs and PMs, vendor management, calibrate equipment, troubleshoot equipment\nTrain on preventive maintenance procedures, electrical safety, and how to repair equipment\nPerform preventative maintenance procedures, inventory validation, and work alongside experienced technicians in a real-time service environment.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nSkills and Experience\nBasic to intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn proprietary software\nBasic mechanical ability with common hand tool skills\nBasic ability to extract information from technical publications and drawings\nIntermediate organizational and planning skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills\nValid driver’s license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site or region that may require use of personal vehicle.\nEducation and Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nMust be able to pass pre-employment screening which will include a limited background check and screen for illegal substance use.\nAt TRIMEDX, we are committed to cultivating a workplace culture where every associate feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
