Find out more about our company and culturehere.\nSummary\nThe Cyber & CE Information Technology Technician is responsible for supporting the cybersecurity, operational readiness, and lifecycle management of medical equipment and connected clinical technologies within healthcare environments. This position combines clinical engineering knowledge with medical device cybersecurity practices to ensure the safe, secure, and compliant operation of network-connected medical devices. The role works closely with Clinical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), Information Technology, Information Security, and equipment manufacturers to support vulnerability remediation, software and firmware patch deployment, operational verifications, and implementation of compensating controls. This position requires regular travel to customer sites throughout Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.\nResponsibilities\nConnected Device & Medical Equipment Support \nSupport the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of medical equipment and connected clinical technologies. \nMaintain accurate medical device inventory, configuration, and asset management records. \nCoordinate with manufacturers and healthcare organizations to schedule and deploy approved operating system, software, and firmware updates. \nConduct operational verifications before and after patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and remediation activities to confirm equipment functionality and clinical readiness. \nDocument testing results, operational verification outcomes, and system readiness following remediation activities. \nSupport medical device integration and connectivity initiatives involving DICOM, HL7, TCP/IP, and related healthcare technologies. \nReview manufacturer guidance and cybersecurity advisories to identify required actions for affected medical devices. Cybersecurity & Compliance \nConduct medical device cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability management activities. \nApply security updates, operating system patches, software updates, and firmware upgrades to supported medical devices. \nPerform and document operational verifications following patch deployment and remediation efforts. \nImplement compensating controls when security patches are unavailable or cannot be deployed. \nSupport network segmentation, firewall rule implementation, access restrictions, endpoint protection, and monitoring capabilities. \nSupport compliance with HIPAA, privacy laws, and healthcare security standards. Project & Program Support \nCollaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to align technical activities with project goals. \nPrepare technical updates, documentation, and status inputs for reports and communications. Operational Support \nTravel regularly to healthcare facilities throughout Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. \nPerform on-site device assessments, cybersecurity reviews, operational verifications, and remediation support activities. \nMaintain technical documentation, validation records, and customer communications. \nAll other duties as assigned.\nSkills and Experience\nMinimum 3 years of experience in technology, biomedical, clinical engineering, or a related field, including at least 1 year supporting cybersecurity or related activities. \nExperience supporting medical equipment, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), or Clinical Engineering programs. \nExperience deploying software, operating system, and firmware patches to medical devices. \nExperience conducting and documenting operational verifications following configuration changes or patch installation. \nKnowledge of medical device cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and compensating controls. \nExperience with networking technologies, communication protocols (HL7, DICOM, TCP/IP), and healthcare information systems. \nFamiliarity with HIPAA, security standards, and regulatory guidelines. \nAbility to travel routinely throughout Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.\nEducation and Qualifications\nAssociate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
