Preventative Maintenance:Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BESS installations.\nInspect battery enclosures, PCS (Power Conversion Systems), transformers, switchgear, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, and monitoring equipment.\nComplete maintenance documentation accurately and on time.\nEnsure service activities meet contractual requirements and OEM standards.\nFault Finding & RepairsDiagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, communication, and control system faults.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.\nReplace defective components including: Battery modules; Inverters/PCS units; Communication devices; UPS systems; Fire Alarm systems; Gas alarm systems; Temperature management systems\nCoordinate with technical support and engineering teams for complex issues.\nCommissioning & Testing:Support site commissioning activities for new energy storage projects.\nConduct functional testing, electrical verification, and system performance assessments.\nAssist with system energisation and grid compliance testing.\nProduce commissioning reports and handover documentation.\nRemote Monitoring & SupportUtilise SCADA and remote monitoring platforms to investigate alarms and performance issues.\nSupport customer requests and technical queries.\nEscalate critical issues appropriately to engineering and management teams\nDocumentation & ReportingComplete service reports using company service management systems.\nMaintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and recommendations.\nUpdate technical documentation and service databases.\nCustomer EngagementAct as the primary technical representative on site.\nBuild strong relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.\nDeliver high levels of customer service and professionalism.\nRequirements\n Essential:NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.\nExperience working on: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS); Renewables; Low-voltage (LV) electrical systems; Industrial power systems\nStrong electrical fault-finding skills.\nExperience interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.\nFull UK Driving Licence.\nAbility to work independently in a field-based environment.\nRight to work in the United Kingdom.\n Desirable:Previous experience with utility-scale battery storage systems.\nAuthorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) experience.\nExperience with: SCADA systems; PLC controls; Power electronics; Inverters and converters\nG99/Grid Code knowledge.\nRenewable energy industry experience\n Technical Competencies:Electrical installation and maintenance\nHigh-voltage switching awareness\nPower conversion systems\nBattery technologies (Lithium-Ion
