You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles.\nA Brief Overview\nThe Sr. Database Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining assigned databases and their operating system/CPU/memory/storage resources, as well as to ensure availability and performance comply with TriNet's expectations. This position is also responsible for overseeing database operations of the TriNet hosting production and non-production environments\nWhat you will do\nProvide engineering, installation, configuration, maintenance and support in a 24/7 environment\nMonitor designated applications and take corrective action to prevent or minimize system downtime.\nBuild /create / refresh / move databases as required.\nConfigure solutions for High Availability, Load balancing and fail over support.\nSecure all databases by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation.\nAWS services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, Terraform, Github, Gitlab.\nInstall/Upgrade database software, patches for Oracle, MySql, PostgreSQL Databases\nDeep understanding of AWS services related to databases highly desirable, particularly Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora\nDatabase DevOps Automation and adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation\nStrong knowledge of AWS Services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Aurora, API Gateway, SNS & DMS\nStrong Experience with Data Migration tools like Goldengate, DMS, FiveTran \nApply engineering knowledge, Database Observability tools and processes to identify/prevent/reduce the frequency or likelihood of potential issues \nWork closely with software engineering teams to review application design and code frequently to ensure that standards are being adhered to\nWork closely with database vendors to seek support for technical issues.\nProvide technical solutions and escalated support for highly complex technical issues.\nDevelop and analyze highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance.\nMaintain documentation on physical and logical layout and assets of the technical architectures to maximize availability and reliability.\nImplement changes into production environments to support change management and release scheduling.\nOther projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nComplies with all policies and standards\nEducation Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred \nExperience Qualifications\nTypically, 8+ years of relevant experience \nPreferred Qualifications:\nAWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional) \nExperience with microservices and serverless architecture \nExposure to monitoring and logging tools\nSkills and Abilities\nExperience in HR Services industry preferred. \nStrong ITIL principles a plus. \nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent Teamwork \nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing \nStrong working knowledge on Oracle Support processes for technical requests resolution \nStrong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office skills \nAbility to coordinate with multiple IT and Business stakeholders. \nAbility to efficiently work on multiple complex projects or assignments concurrently. \nAbility to think logically and analytically. \nKnowledge of Privileged Access Management tools like BeyondTrust, SailPoint etc. \nWork Environment\nWork in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office work setting.
