Trinidad Benham Corp has been in business for over 100 years, and we know a thing or two about providing stable employment and growth.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING\nThe Forklift Operator in Shipping and Receiving is primarily responsible for safely and efficiently picking and pulling orders, loading trucks, and unloading and processing incoming bulk rail and hopper trucks.\nSafely and efficiently operate forklifts according to training and company safety policies. \nRead and understand Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets. \nUsing daily pick sheets, accurately and efficiently pick full pallets and case quantities to build full pallets, ensuring first in first out method is followed, shrink wrap pallets when necessary, stage product for loading, check pallets for accuracy to order. \nSafely load and unload product and other supplies to/from trucks using appropriate forklifts. Obtains samples of incoming bulk product according to Quality Control Guidelines. Places product in appropriate storage areas. \nShrinkwrap finished good pallets and transport/store into appropriate locations. \nMaintain clean and organized aisles and rack storage, consolidate partial pallets when needed. Ensure products, including partial pallets, are organized according to the first in first out inventory methodology. \nEfficiently unloads product from railcars and hopper trucks and keeps product waste to a minimum. \nObtains samples from railcars and hopper trucks. \nPositions railcars into unloading spots using hand jack system. \nWeighs, tags, and stores/stacks product bins at heights using a forklift. \nCleans empty railcars. \nFollows proper confined space procedures when obtaining samples and cleaning. \nVerifies empty bins are clean before unloading product into them. \nCleans pits and all other unloading areas according to SQF guidelines. \nProperly mixes product for soup mix. \nProperly weighs and tags product salvage. \nCorrectly completes required paperwork.\nAct as a back up in Shipping and Receiving department picking and pulling orders; loadiing and unloading trucks.\nComply with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area. \nComply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures.\nAccurately complete required paperwork in accordance with company standards. \nAdditional duties as assigned by lead person and/or manage.\n Working environment and physical demands\nFrequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear.
