The Residential Learning Coordinator position is a crucial role within Housing and Residence Life, and this position is responsible for creating, facilitating, and assessing programs, initiatives, and administrative policies that align with the mission of the department. RLCs report to the Associate Director. This is an in-person, 12-month live-in position. The Residential Learning Coordinator works to foster an inclusive living and learning community that contributes to students’ academic achievement and personal growth.\n Administrative ProcessesManage the daily operations of designated residential communities while partnering with essential campus colleagues, including facilities, to maintain a clean and safe living environment for our students.\n\nParticipate in an out-of-hours on-call rotation and serve as a member of the crisis response team, which may include hospital visits to check on students outside of traditional business hours. \nPlay an essential role in implementing the department's Residential Curriculum, ensuring that our students have the chance to engage with the broader campus community and its resources.\nOversee program requests and program implementation from Resident Staff including Resident Advisors (RAs) and Community Assistants (CAs). \nManage the budget for the resident staff programs.\nCollaborate with members of the campus community to provide students with holistic programs and support services.\nOversee social media pages.\nParticipate as needed in corresponding with students in the general housing inbox.\nStudent Support Services\nWork collaboratively with the deans of Student and Community Life, along with faculty to provide support and guidance for students.\nMeet with students to discuss their needs and connect them to campus resources and support services.\nConduct residential well-being checks on students as needed.\nEvaluate and manage conduct and wellbeing cases in accordance with college policies, utilizing our conduct software, Maxient. \nAssess behavioral and educational sanctions for policy violations while offering guidance, mediation, and problem-solving. \nRespond to student/parent concerns that arise either via email, phone, or in person.\nCollaborative Partnerships\nCollaborate with members of the campus community to provide students with holistic programs and support services.\nGain broad experience in higher-education administration by partnering with colleagues from across campus to help students transition and acclimate to Trinity, as well as learn about opportunities while enrolled.\nServe on committees as requested. \nThe ideal candidate is expected to have broad and relevant experience in residential life, activities planning, student advising/mentoring, and student leadership development. A good understanding of liberal arts communities is preferred.
