Age of patients range from newborn to geriatric.\nSchedule: 40 hours per week, 10 hour shifts\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPerforms receptionist duties including incoming and outgoing calls, greeting outpatients, computer data entry. \nTakes physician orders ensuring completeness of information for proper billing to Medicare and third-party payers. \nUses Caremedic and other tools to determine necessity with knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes. \nWorks with Laboratory Director, Business Office, and Medical Records to assure all documentation for accuracy of patient records. \nCollects and handles specimens for testing including blood samples urine drug screens. \nDemonstrates the proper use, care, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, tools, materials, and supplies. \nObtains appropriate specimen promptly which allows for accurate test results ensuring proper treatment. \nMaintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior. \n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school graduate or the equivalent. \nTraining at an approved school for phlebotomy or medical assistant preferred. \nMust be BLS certified within 3 months of hire. \nMust be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment. \n\nOur Commitment\nRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
