Prepares patients for procedures, administers contrast media, operates scanners according to protocol using ALARA techniques.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma required.\n\nAssociate's degree in radiologic technology or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\n\nARRT(R) registered radiographer.\n\nAdvanced CT certification or CT registry-eligible (certification within one year of hire).\n\nCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.\n\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\n\nExperience working in a trauma and stroke centers (preferred).\n\nExperience with venipuncture, cross-sectional anatomy, post processing/3D, cardiac CTA, and CT-guided procedures, (preferred).\n\nRegistered radiologic technologists, without prior CT experience, can be hired and trained in CT by accepting the terms of the sign-on bonus.\n\nWhat the CT Technologist will do:\nProvides quality patient care considering age specific, developmental, and cultural needs.\n\nReview patient charts and radiological history to determine proper protocol.\n\nIdentify patients, ensure proper positioning and immobilization.\n\nExplain procedures, providing reassurance and instructions.\n\nOperate CT equipment and perform quality control checks.\n\nAdminister contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.\n\nDocument patient history, reactions and follow up with referring physicians.\n\nObserve patient condition during CT exams and initiate emergency actions if necessary.\n\nMaintain cleanliness and follow infection control procedures.\n\nApplies radiation safety knowledge and adhere to radiation safety regulations.\n\nSchedule CT exams for optimal efficiency and equipment utilization.\n\nClick Here to learn more about the benefits, culture, and career development opportunities available to you at Trinity Health Michigan.\nOur Commitment\nRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
