They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE\nHigh school diploma or GED \nMinimum of one year of previous direct care experience (acute or long term) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course. \nStudent nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program. \nWhat you will do:\nTraining is provided to prepare our colleagues for success. \nThe ER Tech assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection. \nAn ER Tech will collect and send specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts and removes peripheral IV catheters. They are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements. \nServices include an award-winning 24-hour emergency department, inpatient and outpatient surgery, including joint replacement, a variety of diagnostic and outpatient services and over 300 physicians serving patients. \nTrinity Health Livingston Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) is available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to care for minor illnesses/injuries, as well as major life-threatening, traumatic, medical and surgical problems. \nOur Commitment\nRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
