This role assists Radiation Safety Officers (RSOs), medical physicists, radiation therapists, and other professionals in monitoring radiation-related processes, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting staff and patient safety initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nRadiation Safety Support\nAssist with radiation safety monitoring and compliance programs.\nPerform routine radiation surveys and contamination checks as directed.\nMonitor radiation badges and personnel dosimetry records.\nSupport investigations of radiation safety incidents and document findings.\nCompliance and Documentation\nMaintain accurate radiation safety records and reports.\nAssist with regulatory inspections and audits.\nTrack licenses, permits, and required certifications.\nEnsure adherence to federal, state, and organizational radiation safety regulations.\nQuality Assurance\nSupport quality control testing of radiation-producing equipment.\nAssist in documenting equipment performance and maintenance activities.\nMonitor calibration schedules for radiation detection instruments.\nHelp maintain quality assurance records and corrective action documentation.\nOperational Support\nCoordinate scheduling of radiation safety inspections and training sessions.\nInventory radiation monitoring equipment and safety supplies.\nPrepare reports, presentations, and correspondence related to radiation safety programs.\nRespond to routine inquiries regarding radiation safety procedures.\nEducation and Training\nAssist with radiation safety orientation programs for employees.\nHelp develop educational materials and training documentation.\nReinforce radiation safety practices and protocols among staff.\nQualifications\nEducation\nAssociate degree in Radiation Technology, Health Physics, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Imaging, Biology, Physical Sciences, or related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\nExperience\n1-3 years of experience in healthcare, medical imaging, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, environmental health and safety, or a related field preferred.\nExperience with regulatory documentation and compliance activities is beneficial.\nPay Range: $38.35-$51.61\nPay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
