Position Summary:
Providesconsistent leadership ofnursing personnel and supportspatientfocusedcollaborative care in ashared governance environment.Responsible for coordinating, facilitatingand integrating the optimal provision of service oneach unit.In conjunction with this, other responsibilities include providing clinicalexpertise coaching/mentoring of staffand customerservice. Assumes
responsibility for the nursing units whenClinical Managers are not present.
What the Housewide RN Nursing Supervisor will need:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
Two years' experience as RN Staff Nurse with demonstrated leadership required, preferably work experience concurrently in appropriate specialty area. Ability to meet all behaviors of the RN Staff Nurse Job description.
Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Leadership experience and / or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility and assignment
What the Housewide RN Nursing Supervisor will do:
Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program
Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department
May or may not have direct report relationships
May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput
May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process
Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department
Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
