We work diligently to enhance the senior independent living experience and offer a variety of programs for our residents to maintain an active lifestyle.\nCompensation: $56,000 - $66,500, depending on verification of experience and qualifications.\nPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:\nSupervises the daily operations of the facilities including managing the Maintenance and Groundskeeping personnel; responsible for providing adequate coverage for each assignment. Communicates and provides reporting to the Director at regular intervals.\nPlans, coordinates and controls resources in conjunction with the Director to provide quality maintenance services to Providence Place and intercompany shared services entities including Mary’s Meadow at Providence Place, Mercy Home Care, Mercy Hospice, Mercy LIFE and other tenants at the Hillside at Providence.\nActs as a role model for exemplifying the organizations standards of behavior (H.E.A.L.) by providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers in successfully meeting facility needs. \nPerforms a direct hands-on role in completing daily maintenance tasks. Troubleshoots repairs and maintains facility in plumbing, mechanical, electrical and utility mechanics.\nRecruits, orients, trains and evaluates performance of assigned personnel and, when necessary, recommends and provides disciplinary actions to direct reports\nOrganizes, assigns and monitors the day-to day work assignments/work orders, ensuring proper and timely completion. Provides feedback to the Director pertaining to work order completion or delays.\nPrepares work schedules in order to provide adequate coverage at all times. Establishes work priorities in conjunction with the Director. Changes schedules and reassigns work unit personnel in response to work load demands or staffing.\nMonitors work quality on a regular basis through inspection and follow-up reporting to ensure compliance.\nEnsures appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.\nAssists the Director in evaluating the physical condition of the facilities and equipment in assigned areas, and recommends necessary improvement or repairs as needed.\nIn the absence of the Director makes all necessary decisions associated with maintenance services and maintenance staff.\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nWork requires the knowledge of theories, principles and concepts acquired through completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. \nRequires three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in general facility maintenance. Supervisory experience required. Work requires knowledge acquired through work experience in one or more of the major trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general mechanics. No certification, registration, or licensure is required.\nWork requires the analytical skills necessary to resolve the day-to-day demands and the supervision of employees.
