Position Purpose
Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technician is responsible fordirect patient care considering age specific, developmental, culturaland spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assistsin establishingand maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safeand conducive to patient/family well beingincluding concepts of relationship basedcare.
Shifts Available: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Status available: Part-time
Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year requiredfor Full-time and Part-time team members.
Required Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
Preferred minimum of one year of previousdirect care experience (acute or long term) OR successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course OR Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
What you will do:
Performs nursing care as delegated by the RN in an effort toidentify/attaintreatment goals such as:
Assists patient in completing ADLs
DemonstPrates sterile or aseptic technique as appropriate whenperforming delegated activities
Assists in establishingand maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family well being
Records patient information and required data in appropriate areasin order tomeet documentation and charging requirements
Completes delegated unit specific activities
