Proactively identifies safety concerns surrounding the work environment. \nPerforms other responsibilities as requested by pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, supervisors, or directors.\nTransports inventory, communications, and paperwork between pharmacies.\nMaintain record of daily, monthly and annual deliveries.\nActively participates in quality improvement initiatives.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:\nMaintains a professional, collaborative work environment so as to foster a positive public image for MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. \nKnows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information (i.e. HIPAA, Stark, etc.)\nMust be a safe driver with acceptable driving record and valid Iowa driver's license.\nMust exhibit independent thinking in performing job functions.\nMust have above average recall abilities in order to perform technical job functions.\nMust possess the ability to effectively and courteously communicate with customers and members of the pharmacy, medical and hospital staffs.\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: \nIn an 8 hour day, employee may stand and /or walk 6-8 hours.\nMobility, dexterity, fine motor skills and ability to use hands in repetitive motion tasks, such as grasping and fine manipulating is required.\nFrequent (21%-50% of worktime) bending, stopping, reaching above shoulder level and pushing and pulling.\nMust be able to see at a near visual acuity level.\nMust be able to hear speech.\nFrequent (21%-50% of worktime) lifting and carrying of objects weighing 35 lbs. or less.\nOccasional (6%-10% of worktime) squatting, climbing 2 feet and balancing. \nMust adhere to applicable organizational requirements on an annual basis for Employee Health Directives.\n\nMINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;\nMust be 18 years of age. \nValid Iowa driver's license.\nMust be on registered on the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Support before starting. \nRetail experience is preferred but not required\nChild and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.\nOur Commitment\nRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
