Staying informed of emerging technologies, the engineer proactively identifies opportunities to enhance software quality, performance, and maintainability.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Smalltalk applications using technologies like VAST and Microsoft SQL Server.\n\nTake end-to-end ownership of development tasks: from requirement analysis through implementation, testing, deployment, and support.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; participate in peer reviews and encourage best practices.\n\nInvestigate and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with QA and support teams to ensure timely resolution\n\nParticipate in technical design reviews and contribute to improving code quality, performance, and security.\n\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to turn functional and UI/UX requirements into reliable technical solutions\n\nStay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend tools, frameworks, and libraries that enhance development productivity and maintainability\n\nEngage actively in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.\n\nPromote a knowledge-sharing culture through documentation and team collaboration\n\nDemonstrate a proactive mindset in tackling challenges and ensuring alignment with sprint goals and release timelines.\n\nAbility to thrive in Agile/Scrum environments, consistently delivering high-quality features with minimal supervision, within tight sprint timelines and adapting rapidly to changing priorities.\n\nSelect and implement development tools and coordinate technical standards within a development team.\n\nExpected to operate in a highly regulated, change-controlled environment where attention to detail is critical.\n\nIdentify technical risks and mitigation plans.\n\nWHO YOU ARE\nB. Tech/ M. Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent.\n\n5-7 years of experience in software development with strong object-oriented design fundamentals.\n\nQuality and test-first development mindset\n\nDeep technical knowledge in Continuous Integration and deployment (CI/CD).\n\nExtensive working experience in secure coding practices and application-level security, including testing and mitigating vulnerabilities through static analysis, dynamic testing, and third-party library assessments.\n\nExperience with unit testing, TDD, and automation frameworks.\n\nExperience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex SQL and stored procedures.
