The Software Test Engineer II needs to identify functional, performance, or usability issues and suggest resolutions. Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. In addition, Software Test Engineer II ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Participates in designing and implementing testing processes and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of the Product to understand the requirements and client issues.\nWhat you'll do \nResponsible for end-to-end testing activities.\nDevelop and execute test plans manually to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, report and track software defects and issues.\nPerform functional, performance, and regression testing of software products.\nReport test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders and work on the resolution.\nProvide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams.\nStay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.\nActive participation in planning, analysis and estimation of backlog requirements.\nAbility to work in a close team environment, and engage with other departments.\nAble to work with minimal supervision and still meet job requirements and tight deadlines.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills, especially around database, server OS, application servers to identify the root cause and suggest solutions.\nLearn automation tool (if new to automation) and automate the test cases.\nLearn performance testing tool (if new to performance testing) and run the performance test cases.\nWho you are \nBachelor’s degree and prior work-related experience or equivalent.\n3-5 years of related professional experience in Software testing.\nGood understanding of SDLC and STLC.\nHands on experience on functional, systems testing including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test Execution, Traceability Matrix and Test Metrics.\nKnowledge of tools like JIRA is highly desired.\nKnowledge and experience using Oracle and SQL Server Database and SQL queries is preferable.\nKnowledge and experience in test automation(preferably selenium), performance testing (Loadrunner) is a plus.\nExcellent communication skills and an ability to effectively collaborate with all levels.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to both analyze and troubleshoot issues around product, third party software and databases.\nProven ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet internal and external deadlines.\nResults and quality oriented with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to work under minimum supervision in Agile/Scrum methodology.\nPrevious experience with Reconciliation and/or month-end close applications is preferred.\nAt our core, Trintechers stand committed to fostering a culture rooted in our core values - Humble, Empowered, Reliable, and Open.
