The organisation is in the middle of a rebrand, restructuring how it thinks about customer journeys, and actively building a more mature design system, increasing the number of channels it supports, from mobile to internet banking, group websites and enterprise tools.\nHow you will make a difference\nYou will work closely with the UX design lead and a team of designers at an inflection point in an environment that is complex, fast-moving, and full of opportunity. Concretely, this means:\nTranslate our brand into digital experience\nDesigning screens and flows across web and mobile touchpoints that bring our brand values and visual identity to life\nFind ways to creatively explore and craft visual elements while working fluently within our design tokens and systems as the foundation for that creativity, not a limit on it\nTurn insights into visual storytelling\nParticipate in ongoing strategic design efforts by, for example, translating research and service design insights into sketches, journey artifacts, data visualisation… to make those findings tangible for the wider organisation\nJoin our design jam sessions\nChampion visual quality and accessibility\nHold our digital touchpoints to a high bar of visual craft and accessibility standards\nCraft design solutions that consider technical feasibility at the start, not as an afterthought, without needing to be asked for it\nContribute to our design system, helping maintain consistency and scalability across all our digital channels (group website, mobile apps, internet banking, enterprise tools) as we continue our rebranding efforts\nWhat you will bring\nWe are looking for someone who brings hands-on energy, a genuine curiosity for how things work from the customer's perspective, and the drive to bring our design work to the next level.\nTo be successful:\nYou are versatile in design craft, from rough sketching to rapid prototyping and visual work\nYou can translate design and brand principles into your work with ease, and can explain the reasoning behind your visual choices\nYou are fluent in information architecture, visual hierarchy, layout, typography and colors and use them to make complex information clearer\nYou know accessibility standards (WCAG) and apply them from the very first sketch\nYou are comfortable sharing your work early, giving and receiving critique and iterating based on feedback and user testing\nYou collaborate naturally with developers and understand enough front-end constraints to design for real implementation\nYou can present your work to non-designers\nBesides that:\nYou hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in visual design, communication design, interaction design or a related field and bring a solid grasp of design fundamentals you can apply and share within the team\n4+ years of experience in digital visual design across both web and mobile with a portfolio that shows both polished visual craft and the UX thinking behind it. You are equally at home refining a component and sketching a flow\nYou understand the conventions and constraints of each platform: responsive web design across breakpoints, and native mobile patterns\nExperience with design systems and rebranding projects is a plus\nYou have strong sketching and visual storytelling skills. You can quickly illustrate customer journeys, scenarios and concepts so research and service design insights become tangible for colleagues across the organisation \nProficient in Figma, our primary design tool\nYou are curious, empathetic and eager to balance attention to detail and big-picture thinking.
