Own mobile engineering end-to-end: architecture, technology choices, delivery, and production quality.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign and develop complex frontend applications using modern technologies, including TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and user experience.\nLead frontend architecture and technical design, including application structure, state management, API integration, component architecture, and frontend performance.\nWork closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver practical solutions.\nDefine and improve frontend engineering practices covering code quality, testing, accessibility, observability, CI/CD, and developer experience.\nDrive technical initiatives that improve frontend systems across teams, including shared components, design systems, tooling, and architectural improvements.\nProvide technical leadership through code and architecture reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and helping engineers make sound technical decisions.\n\nRequirements: \nFront-End: TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, Storybook, Nx, GraphQL, Vitest/Jest, i18n\nOthers: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jira, Slack, Teams, Figma.\n8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong experience building and delivering production frontend applications.\nStrong production experience with React and TypeScript, along with a solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and browser fundamentals.\nProven experience designing frontend architecture for complex applications, including component architecture, state management, API integration, and maintainable, scalable solutions.\nExperience optimizing frontend performance and diagnosing issues related to rendering, loading, and responsiveness.\nStrong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, and modern frontend engineering practices.\nDemonstrated ability to take ownership of technical decisions and lead frontend development for a team, product, or major project.\nStrong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills: partnering with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, challenging assumptions constructively, balancing technical and business considerations, and aligning stakeholders on solutions and priorities.\nExperience with Next.js and modern web application architectures.\nExperience with design systems and reusable component libraries.\nExperience with frontend observability and production debugging.\nUnderstanding of accessibility and internationalization (i18n/l10n).\nExperience working with global/distributed engineering teams.\nJapanese language proficiency and experience collaborating with Japan-based stakeholders.
